Mentha Capital has bought out Argos Group as a majority shareholder in Nefco, the largest distributor of LPG in Northwest Europe. As an independent investment company, Mentha Capital focuses on established, medium-sized and profitable companies in the Benelux. The growth potential and strategy of Nefco fits well in the investment strategy of Mentha Capital.

Sourced from a network of Benelux refineries and terminals Nefco provides LPG (propane and butane) to gas traders and consumers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. A variety of markets are served by various sales activities through:

  • BK Gas, the market leader in the Netherlands and Belgium, services retail petrol stations
  • OK Gas supplies propane to end-users in the agricultural and recreational sectors
  • Nefco Storage & Trading trades and distributes LPG in the Benelux and Germany.

Jeroen Quaegebeur, Partner at Mentha Capital “Nefco is a powerful platform in the market and we will facilitate the opportunities for further (international) growth. We are confident that Nefco will continue expanding its business activities in the Netherlands and surrounding countries. The founder, CEO and co-shareholder Linze de Vries retains his function  and will drive the execution of the strategy with his management team.”
